MPD: Suspect sexually assaulted woman walking near 28th and Hadley

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman as she was walking near 28th and Hadley (West Elder Wallace Drive).

It happened at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.

According to police, the suspect -- who was armed with a handgun -- approached the victim as she was walking. The suspect ordered the victim to the ground, went through her pockets and then sexually assaulted her. He then fled on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’2” - 5’04”, and 175-200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and black with white shoes. He was armed with a handgun.
