MPD: Suspect arrested after crashing into utility pole during police chase

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A police pursuit ended in a crash near KK and Becher in Milwaukee.
It happened Tuesday, March 14.
According to police, at approximately 9:45 a.m., near 7th and Rogers, officers attempted a traffic stop of a suspect wanted in an investigation. Police say the suspect refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.
The chase ended when the fleeing suspect -- identified by police as a 33-year-old Milwaukee man -- lost control and crashed into a utility pole.
The impact of the collision caused a power outage.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
