Milwaukee police searching for fatal hit-and-run driver after crash near 69th and Silver Spring

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --  Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal car vs. pedestrian crash on the city's north side. 

According to police, a car hit a pedestrian near N. 69th St. and W. Silver Spring Dr. around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 7.

The victim, a 64-year-old man, died from his injuries at the scene. 

The suspect fled from the scene. Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects.

"My prayers are with the man's family and friends in the wake of this horrific incident," Milwaukee Common Council President and Second District Alderman Cavalier Johnson said. "I also pray for justice for them, and I ask the community to come together to help them achieve it."
