Man who died after speeding car hit county bus near 27th and Wisconsin identified

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal accident that happened near 27th and Wisconsin on Sunday, Aug. 15.
Police say a vehicle was speeding and driving recklessly when it disregarded a red traffic signal. Police say the vehicle then struck a Milwaukee County bus shortly after 2 a.m.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, died on scene. The victim was identified as Jerome Broussard. The medical examiner said Broussard was a front passenger of the car that struck the bus.
Police say the bus driver sustained minor injuries and there were no passengers on board at the time.
Police have the driver of the car, a 28-year-old man, in custody at this time. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
