MPD investigating two Saturday night shootings
MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police are investigating two seprate shootings from Saturday night.
The Milwaukee Police are looking for a man who fired a gun into the ground, resulting in the wounding of a 12-year-old boy. The MPD believes the boy was struck by shrapnel, receiving minor abrasions. He was treated and released from a local hospital. The incident happened on the sideway at N 28th and W Wells Streets around 7:15 PM. The incident is still under investigation.
Around 10 PM Saturday, Police say a 39-year-old man walked into a local hospital seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. The man told Police that he was walking in the area of N 29th and W State Streets when he heard gunfire. The man he had been struck by a bullet and sought medical treatment. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting and are looking for the suspect or suspects involved.
