MPD investigating non-fatal shooting following argument

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night.

Authorities say it happened near N. 39th St. and W. Wright St. around 6:30 p.m. After a preliminary investigation, police say the victim, 20-year-old man, was a passenger in a car traveling on N. 39th St. Police say the car came upon an argument between two people. The argument led to shots being fired.

The car tried to drive past the two people to leave the scene and that is when the victim was shot. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
