MPD Investigating Friday Night Shooting

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in the 8000 Block of West Appleton Avenue at about 7:10 PM Friday evening.
A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and driven to a local hospital by a friend. The victim’s injuries are not life threatening and the circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation.
There are no suspects in custody at this time.
