MPD investigating deaths of two people in the KK River

The Milwaukee Police are investigating the deaths of two people who apparently jumped into the Kinnickinnic River near Chase Avenue around 12:30 AM this morning.  A news release from the MPD says that witnesses saw a man jump into the river after arguing with a woman.  Shortly after the man jumped, the woman jumped into the river. 

The Milwaukee Fire Department recovered the bodies of a 43-year-old man and a yet-to-be identified woman from the river in the area of S 1^st Street and S Chase Avenue.

The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident but at this time the MPD says foul play does not appear to be involved.
