MPD investigating armed robbery, home invasion near UWM

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating an armed robbery and home invasion near N. Maryland and Kenwood.

Authorities say it happened around 11:10 p.m. on Thursday, August 20.

According to a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Safe Alert, a UWM student was approached by three suspects at the door of his home. A suspect pointed a gun and threatened the victim, leaving with the victim's keys, wallet and phone.

The victim was not hurt.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1: black male, dark complexion, around 16-years-old, wearing a black sweatshirt, had a black semi-automatic handgun, around six feet tall, thin build, no visible facial hair or tattoos, short hair

Suspect 2: black male, dark complexion, around 16-years-old, wearing a gray shirt, appeared to be holding gun under shirt, around 5'8" tall, thin build, no visible facial hair or tattoos, short hair

Suspect 3: black male, dark complexion, around 16-years-old, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, around six feet tall, thin build, no visible facial hair or tattoos, short hair

The victim's car is a white Kia Forte with the license plate, 599-ZCE.
