MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Halloween decorations are going up, and costume shops are getting busy.
If you are looking to get into the Halloween spirit this year, you aren't alone.
The Milwaukee Police Department held their 2nd annual Haunted Academy.
The event played host to Milwaukee kids, who got to enjoy some family friendly scares, while showing off their costumes.
MPD tells us events like this are an opportunity to build bridges between their officers and the community.
In all, 500 kids came out for Halloween fun.
