MPD: Dog shot and killed after reckless driving incident leads to argument

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A man walking his dog late Monday night, June 1, got into an argument with a reckless driver and it ended with his dog being shot. 

According to police, it happened around 11:30 p.m. near Bartlett and Linnwood Avenues. 

Police say the victim was walking when a reckless vehicle almost struck him. The victim was involved in an argument with a suspect at which time the suspect fired shots at the victim. The victim was not injured but his dog, a 14-year-old German Shepard, was struck.

The dog had to be euthanized due to his injuries.
