MPD: 7 shot, 1 fatally in separate incidents on Sunday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police say seven people were shot, one fatally in five separate incidents on Sunday, November 29.

Authorities say a 26-year-old woman was shot and killed around 4:30 p.m. near Garfield and Halyard. A 39-year-old man was also shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The shooting is under investigation.

Police say a 35-year-old man was shot following a road rage incident around 12:30 p.m. near 27th and Hope. He is expected to be okay.

Around 12:42 p.m., a suspect shot into a home near 34th and Auer, hitting a 35-year-old woman inside. She was taken to the hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police responded to a home near 86th and Hemlock around 12:57 p.m. for a man who was shot after a child got ahold of a gun and discharged it. The man is expected to be okay.

At 1 p.m. police responded to 80th and Mill for a non-fatal shooting. The victim was driving when a suspect car approached and fired several shots, hitting two people. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old man both sustained nonlife-threatening injuries. Police believe the shooting was a result of an argument.
