Mount Pleasant police: Investigation underway after suspect points gun at Burger King employee

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Mount Pleasant police are investigating after a suspect pointed a handgun at a Burger King drive-thru employee Tuesday, Jan. 4, and shot at the employee's vehicle.

Officers responded to the area near the 13000 block of State Highway 20/Washington Avenue just before 4 p.m.

Police say the incident stemmed from an altercation over food service. The suspect reportedly fired the weapon in the parking lot and fled in an unknown direction. 

Authorities believe this is an isolated incident with no threat to the general public.
