Mount Pleasant Man's Truck Strikes Amtrak Train

A Mount Pleasant man was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital after his pickup truck struck a train on Saturday night.
According to Caledonia Police, the investigation disclosed that the vehicle, a 2001 Chevy pick-up truck was traveling east on CTH K, and went around the railroad crossing gates and struck a southbound train. The operator was ejected from the vehicle.
The operator was transported by Flight For Life to Froedert Hospital and is in critical condition. Further investigation is still pending.
