Several agencies responded to a motorcycle vs. SUV accident in the Town of Waukesha Tuesday night. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and needed to be transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.
The accident occurred on Highway 59 at Merrill Hills Road. It was reported that an SUV turning eastbound onto Highway 59 from Merrill Hills Road, turned in front of a motorcycle that was traveling westbound on Highway 59.
The driver of the SUV was a 22-year-old male from Sun Prairie and did not sustain any injuries. The motorcyclist was a 59-year-old male from North Prairie and sustained serious injuries that required Flight for Life transport to Froedtert Hospital.
Highway 59 and Merrill Hills Road were closed for several hours while the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department conducted their investigation. The accident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
