MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 32-year-old motorcyclist died at a hospital after colliding with an SUV that turned into his path near Teutonia and Finn on Wednesday evening, July 22, according to Milwaukee police.

Police say a 27-year-old driving south on Teutonia began a left turn around 6:40 p.m., crossing in front of an approaching motorcycle. The motorcyclist lost control and hit the SUV, suffering injuries that ultimately proved fatal.

The SUV driver was taken into custody, and charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

Impairment does not appear to be a factor, according to police, though the investigation is ongoing.
