OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A motorcyclist has died after a crash near Mequon.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office says they were called to a crash Friday morning around 6:50 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-43 just south of Pioneer Road. Deputies say when they arrived, they found several cars pulled over and CPR was being performed on the motorcycle driver. The motorcyclist was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Investigators believe the motorcyclist, identified as 57-year-old Steven Kuether, hit a vehicle in front of it while driving south on I-43 due to some merging slowdowns.
A third vehicle following the motorcyclist then hit the motorcycle. The two vehicles involved stayed on the scene and one driver was treated for a sore shoulder. The Sheriff's Office says one of the drivers was treated for a sore shoulder.
