UPDATE: Officials say the motorcyclist passed away from their injuries. 

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on Friday, Nov. 15. 

It happened near STH 89 and CTH Q around 2:25 p.m. 

According to the sheriff's office, preliminary investigation shows that a motorcycle was traveling northbound when it was struck from behind. 

The motorcyclist was transported by Med-Flight with critical injuries.  The lone occupant of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. 

The crash is under investigation.
