Mother, Two Daughters and Two Dogs Safe After Washington County Fire

On Friday October 14 at approximately 4:43 PM, the Washington County Sheriff’s was notified of a house on fire located at 2039 Whitewood Drive in the Township of Farmington.

When firefighters arrived they observed smoke coming from the lower level of the house. Firefighters were quickly able to bring the fire under control, but the home sustained significant smoke damage.

The homeowner was able to evacuate herself, her two daughters and the two family dogs, with no reported injuries.

It is estimated that the home sustained $150,000 in damage.

The fire remains under investigation by Sheriff’s fire investigators, however the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
