Depending on where you live, Southeast Wisconsin residents have been dealing with a variety of conditions.
CBS 58 Meteorologist Michael Schlesinger surveyed the changing conditions since dawn Wednesday.
He watched first hand the switch from rain to slush and then ice and snow in the communities of Mukwonago, Waukesha, Cheniqua, Hustisford, Mayville and Slinger where he reported live on current conditions from the news at noon.
While some might complain about cold and snow, many he spoke with are glad that winter is back.
"Happy to see it," declared Broc Fleischer. "Fun to drive in it. Love it. Wisconsin. How we all should be."
"Take your time," warned Shane Gaumitz. "Don't rush. Wear the right equipment. Snow boots, hat, coat, gloves."
It's been a snow drought of sorts.
Before Wednesday, we just got a little more than an inch of snow in January. We're close to five inches below normal for the season.
