'Mother Earth News Fair' bringing sustainable living workshops to West Bend 🌿

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Embracing sustainable living practices can offer long-term economic benefits and lessen environmental impact, a focus that one upcoming event is aiming to amplify.

The "Mother Earth News Fair" will take place at the Washington County Fair Park and Conference Center in West Bend, offering workshops and exhibits focused on sustainable living.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16, and Sunday, Sept. 17.

Headlined by Dr. Jan Pol, star of Nat Geo WILD’s “The Incredible Dr. Pol,” the fair aims to educate attendees on various topics such as in-home renewable energy options, livestock care and building resilience against inflation.

Sarah Thrush of the "Sarah Plain & Tall" channel on TikTok will also be providing demonstrations on pressure canning.

The fair will offer more than 75 expert-led workshops and a 45,000-square-foot marketplace.

General admission tickets are available for single-day access at $20 or multi-day access at $30, while those 17 and under may attend for free.
