Mother charged with poisoning her children

MILWAUKEE-- A Milwaukee mother is charged with trying to poison her two young children. Fallon Thomas was charged with two counts of attempted first degree homicide.

The mother told dispatchers she gave her kids medicine to 'send them up to God.' Fallon Thomas says she gave her children 15 pills. But once police got their she denied medicating her children, 4 and 7 years old.

According to a criminal complaint, the children complained they were sleepy and that their mother gave them gross tasting tea.

Investigators later found open capsuls of a medication used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Thomas is expected in court in a few days for her preliminary hearing, no word on if she'll plead insanity.
