Moonshine Shop Opens in Cedarburg

Wisconsin may be known for beer, but it's getting a little extra kick in Cedarburg with a new shop that's all about moonshine.

It's called the Shinery. It's for both sampling and shopping.

They've got all forms of white lightening from 35 proof to 128!

Some 80 brands and flavors with specialty items from salsa to fudge to pickles.

"We are the first in the Midwest to do this," said owner Lisa Reissmann. "We have many brands here that you can't find anywhere else.  And we'll have music on occasion. We definitely do this weekend both tonight and Saturday."

Live music starts at 5 Friday night, March 31st.

There are two other "Shinery" shops in Wisconsin. One in DePere the other in Neenah.

The Shinery Cedarburg is located at W63 N706 Washington Ave. (Olde Settlement Square)
