Monroe to Milwaukee a "basketball decision"

New Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Greg Monroe was introduced to the media as the team officially announced his signing Thursday afternoon in St. Francis.

Monroe played his first five seasons in Detroit, averaging 14 points and nine rebounds a game during his time there. Having never played in a postseason game, he talked about being in a situation where he would be able to win.

\"The team they have in place, I feel it's the best fit for me. Purely a basketball decision,\" Monroe said. \"I love this game and nothing else matters but basketball to me. They had everything set up for what I wanted. Everything I needed to be comfortable and happy, that's what they had.\"

He will join his former teammate in Detroit, Bucks guard Khris Middleton who was signed as a restricted free agent. Middleton, who came to the Bucks in a trade with Brandon Knight for Brandon Jennings, has improved into a player the Bucks have paid a reported $70 million over five years.

\"The goal has been to get better every day,\" Middleton said at the press conference. \"Trying to get better, trying to improve and stay hungry so that's not gonna change for me.\"
