Monday Evening Snowfall

Light snow persisted over Eastern Wisconsin Monday afternoon into the evening.  This was not a big impact event with many locations seeing just flurries and intermittent snow showers.  However, along Highway 41 and Highway 45 from Fond du Lac county south and east into Milwaukee County, stronger returns were seen for several hours.  These stronger returns are an indication of moderate snow.  And, not surprisingly, this corridor saw higher snow totals:

A dusting of snow occurred in Sheboygan and from Madison and points west.  Officially at Mitchell International Airport, .7\" of snow fell.  Here is the seasonal snowfall as compared to normal and last year:

As you can see, our snow totals are down from normal and year to year.  In the next ten days, only light snow is forecast here in Milwaukee and southern Wisconsin.  A fast moving system passes Wednesday night with another chance of snow late Saturday into Sunday morning.  Make sure to check back with Lance, Rebecca, Michael and I for updates on those next two systems and your First Alert Ten Day Forecast.
