'Mobile Meet Ups': Milwaukee elected officials meet with voters aboard MCTS buses

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee elected officials met with voters Tuesday, Sept. 13 on the MCTS bus system.
Senator Lena Taylor of District 4 and Representative LaKeshia Myers of District 12 hosted what they call Mobile Meet Ups.
Both officials wanted to give voters an opportunity to connect with their representatives and discuss transit services.
"It's not always easy to get to an office to talk to us, or you may not get us on the phone, but they can see us on the bus," said Rep. Myers.
"It gives us an opportunity, as the representative has stated, to connect with our constituents, period," said Sen. Taylor.
Sen. Taylor and Rep. Myers also made sure to thank the bus driver for all of his work.
