MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- People in Milwaukee are working to help bring relief to Texas. The group "MKE2TX" is collecting donations this week.
Parklawn Assembly of God church is one of the places where people can drop off supplies which will be brought to Texas. They're looking for people to donate financially, but also in need of winter clothes and hygiene products including soap, towels, masks, hand sanitizer, and baby supplies.
"Please help," Organizer Homer Blow said. "In a day and age where it seems like things are hopeless and that people don't care, there's a lot more people that care. These people need our love and our support so anything you can do to help us make sure Texas hears loud and clear that we love them and we're here to support them."
The church, located at 3725 N Sherman Boulevard, will accept drop-off donations every day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bounce Milwaukee, located at 2801 South 5th Court, will also be a drop-off site from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
