MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Are you feeling the need for speed this summer?

Well now you can ride into the danger zone with a screening of "Top Gun" at Museum Center Park in Milwaukee next month.

Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport will host a screening of the 1986 classic.

It's set for Aug. 19, National Aviation Day, at 7 p.m. The event will include pre-show entertainment, including DJ Shawna, yard games and concession stands.

“This is a unique opportunity on National Aviation Day to support the local community that has supported our hometown airport. Choosing to fly from the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport helps us get more flights, creates jobs, fuels our economy, and helps Milwaukee succeed,” Airport Director Brian Dranzik said. “We invite everyone to stop by Museum Center Park, enjoy some free popcorn from the Airport, and experience the thrill of the original ‘Top Gun.’”

The event is free and open to the public.
