Missing Waukesha girl reunited with her family

WAUKESHA -- The Waukesha Police Department announced that a missing 13-year-old girl has safely returned to her family.

Robin Cardoso was reunited with her family Saturday afternoon after being missing since Tuesday.

Authorities said that the girl's family worked with investigators to bring her back from Central Wisconsin.

Police originally announced that Cardoso had planned to runaway and was using social media to do so.

The motives for her departing her family are still under investigation.

The Waukesha Police Department thanked the community for their vigilance is assisting in this matter.
