GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) - A local young Milwaukee Brewers fan went shopping in Greenfield for new sports cards and scored something even greater. 

Ryan Christopher posted a photo on Facebook showing his son with Jacob Misiorowski, the star pitcher for the Brewers, at the Brew Town Trading Company Store. 

Christopher says Misiorowski bought his son's sports cards and signed one of them. 

The card store has been a community hub for sports memorabilia collectors. The assistant manager, Thomas Rhyner, says athletes often visit the area for their vast collection.

"You're always seeing them on the field or in interviews, you don't get to see their personal stuff too much. So, when you get to see them trying to connect with the community, trying to make kids' days, knowing how much that they all look up to these guys, it's amazing to see that athletes still truly care about everybody else as well, just like a normal human being," Rhyner said.

Rhyner said Misiorowski hasn't been the only visitor recently and reported a couple of San Francisco Giants players stopped in to check out the store.
