MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Minority Health Film Festival is underway in Milwaukee.
The four-day festival kicked off Thursday at Turner Hall to a packed house.
It showcases films and forums related to how certain health issues and disparities impact minorities.
During the opening event, a panel of experts shared their thoughts on overcoming the stigma of mental health.
"There is a history of people of color, particularly not dealing with these issues publicly and we've gotta start sharing our experiences," said Geraud Blanks, Black Lens Director.
