MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Live music lovers, listen up!

Next year, Milwaukee will have a brand-new concert venue right in Deer District.

The new space is called Landmark Credit Union Live and it's next to Fiserv Forum and directly across the street from the Turner Hall Ballroom.

The venue will hold up to 4,500 fans and is designed to also host events and community gatherings, featuring a single stage ballroom layout and a bar and lounge space.

"Everything is set up to be easy in this venue from the food and beverage options to the restrooms and that's really been the key," said Frank Productions CEO Joel Plant.

Although other venues are nearby, officials said this would only add to the entertainment options downtown and help fill what they call a music void.

"This venue will put Milwaukee on the 'must play' map for touring artists because it is a missing piece in the market today," Plant said. "This will be that room that will catapult artists into the arena and also capture younger artists who are more at the beginning stage of their career."

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, the doors were opened for a sneak peek inside.

"It's not even finished with the construction yet and it already looks great, so I'm super excited about the development happening and I think it's going to add so much to Milwaukee," said Mayor Cavalier Johnson.

The mayor said he's especially looking forward to how the venue will aid in boosting the downtown area's economy.

“More jobs, more entertainment, more music, more chance for people to enjoy our nightlife, more people coming to visit Milwaukee which means more people staying in our hotels, more people going to our restaurants, more people patronizing local shops which means more people spending money which means more revenue for city services and more job for people who live in the city of Milwaukee so I’m super excited about what’s going to happen here," Mayor Johnson said.

Landmark Credit Union Live is expected to open in Feb. 2026, but officials said to be on the lookout for the artist lineup which will be released soon.
