MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)-- Mount Mary University expanded its health sciences curriculum along with a new building to house it all at the same time. The school debuted its Health Sciences Center just this month.
The 6,500 square-foot state-of-the-art facility is designed for students across the health care spectrum, including art therapy, counseling, dietetics, nursing, and occupational therapy.
There are various simulation stations with lifelike mannequins, including a CPR center and a lab with eight hospital beds. The goal is to come together in a collaborative way to learn to provide exceptional care and healing for patients.
Meantime, the university welcomed its first Bachelor of Science in Nursing class to campus this fall.
