MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee hosted its annual "World's Largest Coffee Break" on Tuesday, Aug. 20. It's not verified by the Guinness Book of World Records, but organizers feel confident in claiming the title.
It was part of Downtown Milwaukee's Employee Appreciation Week. The Historic Third Ward Association invited workers to Catalano Square for free coffee and 600 donuts.
"We really appreciate our office community. We're a destination for them for lunch and shopping. This is our way of saying thanks, we'll buy you some coffee and a donut," said Jim Plaisted, with the Historic Third Ward Association.
Downtown Employee Appreciation Week continues Wednesday, Aug. 21 with a free yoga class, games and free hot dogs at Schlitz Park.
