MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee group that aims to get more students to attend college celebrates a major milestone Thursday night, April 22.
College Possible Milwaukee will host their Dream Big Dinner and fundraiser Thursday at 7 p.m., a livestreamed celebration of the class of 2021.
And this year, they've got reason to be excited, achieving 100% success helping more than 2,000 students they served get admitted to a college this fall.
"Our mission is to eliminate the degree divide," said Executive Director Kellie Sigh.
"I'm the first person in my family to go to college, so I didn't know much about what to expect, other than what they shown on TV," said Ja'Lia Butler.
The achievement of College Possible in Milwaukee is more impressive when you consider the pandemic.
Thursday night's event is free and open to the public. To register, click here.
We'll have more information on how College Possible made it happen in an upcoming edition of CBS 58 Sunday Morning.
