Milwaukee woman charged in death of senior living resident

MEQUON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee woman has been charged with second-degree reckless homicide after allegedly pushing a 76-year-old resident at a Mequon memory care facility, leading to the woman’s death.

Abrianna Clark, 27, is accused of pushing the resident to the ground during a Nov. 2024 incident at Story Point Senior Living in Ozaukee County. The victim was taken to a hospital with a broken femur on Nov. 7, 2024, and later died Jan. 27, 2025.

According to the criminal complaint, Clark admitted to a coworker that she shoved the victim, stating, “I pushed her," after the resident reportedly struck her with a ruler and broke her glasses. Staff are also quoted in the complaint as saying Clark made a threatening comment towards any staff members who "snitch" on her.

Police investigated the situation on Nov. 14, with witness interviews and internal statements leading authorities to conclude that Clark had pushed the victim to the ground before also violating the facility's policy regarding staff not picking up residents, as emergency responders are tasked with that.

Prosecutors added a penalty enhancer due to the victim’s age, increasing the potential maximum sentence if Clark is found guilty.
