MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee woman has been arrested following an investigation into repeated threats made toward employees of Waupun Correctional Institution and others connected to the facility, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Trina Brown, 32, was taken into custody and referred to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office for charges including stalking, terroristic threats, unlawful use of communication systems and bail jumping.

Authorities said the threats were made through hundreds of calls, texts and emails, disrupting prison operations and prompting increased law enforcement patrols.

Officials executed a search warrant Monday, May 5 in Milwaukee with assistance from the Milwaukee Police Department. Investigators said they recovered electronic devices linked to the alleged threats.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing.
