Milwaukee VA schedules Veterans Day ceremony at Zablocki Medical Center
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee VA has announced plans for a Veterans Day ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.
The program is slated to honor Veterans representing U.S. military conflicts dating back to World War II. These honorees will receive plaques in recognition of their service.
James McLain, Executive Director of the Zablocki VA, will deliver remarks during the ceremony. Accompanying the formal proceedings will be music from a quintet of the Milwaukee American Legion Band and a presentation of the colors by Veteran employees of the Milwaukee VA Medical Center.
The musical prelude by the Legion Band is set to begin at 10:30 a.m.
The event is open to the public, inviting community members to join in honoring military service members.
