MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The VA Medical Center's Fisher House received a big donation on Wednesday.
A construction company by the name of "Wacker Neuson" donated more than $100,000.
The company, whose US operations are based in Menomonee Falls, had built a patriotic front loader and auctioned it off after hearing from veterans about the services offered at the Fisher House.
"Providing comfort, providing a loving environment for veterans and families going through traumatic experiences, that's what we owe these veterans."
Fisher House offers veterans' families a free place to stay while their family member is getting care at the medical center.
The money will go towards feeding families who stay there and other improvements to the facility.
