Milwaukee VA 911 partnership expands to Hales Corners

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Medical Center is expanding its 911 partnership to the Hales Corners Fire Department.

The Milwaukee VA says it will help 230 veterans in the area to have easier access to their home hospital. The 911 partnership allows veterans to enroll with their local fire department who will then know to take them to the Milwaukee VA during emergencies. It currently covers the West Allis, North Shore, Greendale and St. Francis Fire Departments.

For more information on how veterans can sign up, call 414-384-2000, ext. 43924.
