Milwaukee to Hold Veterans Job Fair on Thursday
Milwaukee County will hold a Job Fair for Veterans this Thursday, March 10 from 9:00 AM -= to 1:00 PM at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center.
More than 70 employers will be present at the job fair, including Aurora Health Care, Miller Corps, Northwestern Mutual, and FedEx.
All veteran attendees will be provided a free flash drive, courtesy of the Milwaukee County Veterans Service Office, loaded with forms and files to assist with job applications. Also available at the job fair are computers for filling out online applications and resume-editing assistance from Springfield College.
“Our veterans deserve our gratitude for their sacrifices in service of our nation’s safety and they also deserve our continued support when they come home. That’s why since taking office it’s been one of my top priorities to expand and improve services for veterans and their families,” County Executive Chris Abele said. “And to the many businesses and community partners who will be on hand at the job fair, thank you for your work at this important event.”
Free parking, courtesy of Milwaukee County Parks, will be available in the O'Donnell Parking Structure.
The event is a joint collaboration of Milwaukee County, Zablocki VA Medical Center, and local representatives of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Office of Veterans Services.
