MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The sounds of Bach took over the Bradley Symphony Center Monday night. It's part of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's second annual Bach Fest.
For the next few days, MSO will take it on the road, visiting City Hall as well as a handful of Milwaukee churches and art venues.
The orchestra's director says Bach wrote music for everything, from joyous wedding marches to pieces for grieving at funerals.
"He's been around for 300 years, his music has been," said Ken David-Masur, music director, MSO. "And he's been touching us, he's been teaching us and he has something to say about every facet of life."
Bach's 340th birthday is this Friday, March 21.
