Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Opening New Facility in Menomonee Falls

For 15 years, Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club has dreamed of having its own home. This Saturday, April 9, the dream becomes reality with the grand opening of the Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Center according to a press release from VISIT Milwaukee. The former Kohl’s Distribution Center building at N54 W13901 Woodale Drive in Menomonee Falls has been transformed into a spacious, modern volleyball facility with 8 Taraflex courts and a physical fitness center.

Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club has provided training and competition for female and male athletes, ages 12-18, and youth instructional programs for ages 3-12, since 1989.  The club has been a top 20 volleyball program in the country for over 20 years.

"Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club is excited to open our NEW doors to the volleyball community of the Greater Milwaukee area. It is our hope that this facility will help showcase the sport of volleyball in SE Wisconsin along with providing the newest in floor technology to train our athletes with less risk of injury. It is our hope that the Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Center will be a destination for teams from Wisconsin and the Midwest,” said Colleen Houk, Milwaukee Sting Program Director.

This Saturday’s opening day festivities feature music, snacks, drinks and games for all with free gifts for the first 500 visitors.

From 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Saturday the Minnesota Gophers and Fighting Illini will scrimmage at the new facility. 

From 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Milwaukee Sting Club Team will hold practice sessions and the Grand opening Ribbon Cutting will take place at 6:00 PM. 

Free Open Play for Youth Athletes up to age 14 will be held from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM and for athletes 15 and older from 8:30 - 10:30 PM.
