Milwaukee sent out more than 100 salt trucks Saturday morning

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- If you happened to be outside Saturday, you might have noticed the return of Milwaukee salt trucks. 

The City of Milwaukee deployed more than 100 salt trucks beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12. Officials say it was for a general ice control to maintain safe and passable streets.

The initial salting operation treated the aerial routes and was completed around noon, officials say.

The city is continuing to monitor forecasts for potential further operations.
