Milwaukee Scylla Rugby battles cancer together

MILWAUKEE--The Milwaukee Scylla Rugby team has been in existence since 2001--but their impact goes beyond rugby as cancer patients--and survivors--are a significant part of the team.

Liz Satterfield, a breast cancer patient, is a coach for Scylla. Sara Mignon, a player, is a breast cancer survivor. Both credit their competitive and social experiences with Scylla as a way of coping with the disease and a way to provide support for others going through similar circumstances.

Scylla is open for all women to join in the Milwaukee area. For more information on how to join, visit the Milwaukee Scylla Women's Rugby website.
