Milwaukee school bus driver arrested, fired after leaving child on bus

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A school bus driver in Milwaukee was arrested and fired after a little girl was left behind on the bus. 

MPS says the little girl fell asleep on the bus Monday, Jan. 6. The bus driver didn't notice and drove home.

When the girl woke up, she banged on the windows and a passerby called police. 

The girl was reunited with her mother and is safe.

The bus driver worked for "Specialty Care Transport."

CBS 58 stopped by the bus company Tuesday, and they had no comment.
