MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was a divine night at Milwaukee Repertory Theater Thursday.
The theater hosted a Divine 9 get-together.
If you're not familiar with what that is, it's the nine predominantly Black fraternities and sororities.
Members of the organizations got a chance to have a bite to eat and some drinks while networking, then saw a performance of the play Seven Guitars by August Wilson.
"This is just a wonderful, inclusive event and lets everybody get together and really have a good time and see some art as well," said Vivian King, Delta Sigma Theta.
The Divine 9 started in the early 1900s because fraternities and sororities at the time didn't accept Black people.
Today, they've all become service organizations and together they have nearly 2-million members, including Vice President Kamala Harris.
