MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some of Milwaukee's oldest residents enjoyed their own festival on Wednesday.
There was music, bingo, door prizes, and many other activities at Seniorfest.
The Milwaukee Recreation Department has been throwing the bash for 36 years. On Wednesday, it was held at the Italian Community Center.
"We want the seniors to stay active and have activities in their older years as well. So it's an opportunity to socialize, it's an opportunity to get different resources if need be and also just to enjoy themselves and have a good time," said Willie Mitchell with Milwaukee Recreation.
Organizers were worried that the rain might hold down the crowd, but they had a great turnout.
