Milwaukee Recreation cancels Thursday night activities due to poor air quality

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Recreation activities on Thursday night, July 31 have been canceled due to unsafe air quality levels.
Canadian wildfire smoke filled the air in southeast Wisconsin Thursday, prompting the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to issue an air quality alert.
Milwaukee Recreation said in a social media post, if you have registered for an evening program that is canceled, staff will contact you with more information.
The air quality alert runs through 12 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1.
