Milwaukee Receives Grant for Youth Employment

Mayor Tom Barrett said Milwaukee is getting help putting young people to work.

“The President of the United States announced this week that he will through a competition among communities throughout the nation award 16 different communities a total of 21 million dollars for youth employment. Milwaukee will receive two million dollars," said Barrett.

That grant will help create jobs in areas of under employment and connect high school age kids with employment for summer and beyond.
